Embedded Software Engineer

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) have a consulting assignment available for a Senior Systems Engineer, to work on a project we have in Copenhagen, Denmark.

We are looking to support one of our project teams with a Senior Systems Engineer, for a project we are supporting a client with.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on the development of our next-generation Power Plant Controller (PPC). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer capable of integrating into an agile team to deliver high-quality software for controlling and optimizing wind power plants. This role requires working on complex, integrated software systems in a fast-paced environment with critical project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for the Power Plant Controller (PPC) using C and C++.

Apply model-based design principles, utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development and simulation.

Collaborate with the product owner and team members within a "flow agile" (hybrid waterfall/agile) framework to deliver features in defined sprints.

Work on a large, integrated software system, managing dependencies and ensuring seamless functionality across components.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging.

Support the team in meeting contractual obligations for large-scale wind farm sites.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial automation sector.

Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.

Extensive experience with MATLAB and Simulink for model-based design.

Experience working with complex, integrated software systems.

Understanding of control systems theory and application (highly beneficial).Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

A "hands-on" approach and a willingness to learn and adapt to the organization's specific development processes.

You would be able to operate as an independent consultant or employed consultant for this assignment, which I can support with. You will also be required to go on-site.
