Job Description

Role Overview Lead Software Development Engineer – Onboard Outsourcing, Aarhus, D82, DK. Full‑time, on‑site position. Build low‑level software, integrate hardware and control systems, and solve complex engineering challenges while contributing to a more sustainable planet. Passion for clean energy and thriving in fast‑paced, collaborative environments is essential.

Responsibilities Design and implement embedded software solutions for control systems in wind turbines and power plants.

Develop low‑level software stacks, including device drivers, communication protocols, and real‑time control algorithms.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components.

Conduct software testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance of control systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.

Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation for software development processes.

Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field, with 3–7 years of industry experience.

Proficiency in C++, hands‑on experience developing robust and efficient software solutions.

Demonstrated experience in embedded software development, particularly within real‑time operating system (RTOS) environments.

Practical knowledge of hardware interfaces and industrial communication protocols (Serial, Modbus, CAN).

Experience with version control systems (Git) and development environments such as Visual Studio.

Competencies Ability to perform detailed analysis and resolve complex technical problems.

Excellent communication skills and teamwork in cross‑functional, multicultural settings.

Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Strong multitasking and timely delivery of high‑quality deliverables.

Passion for renewable energy and commitment to sustainable solutions.
