Job Description

Software Quality Engineer Are you an experienced software professional with a passion for ensuring high‑quality embedded products? Would you like to take on a key role in driving software quality in an innovative R&D environment – designing smart test setups, building strong regression coverage, automating test cases, and collaborating across teams to deliver advanced and reliable products? If so, you could be the perfect fit for this exciting Software Quality Engineer role at DEIF A/S.

At DEIF A/S, we develop advanced control solutions that keep power stable and efficient – whether from wind, solar, or traditional sources. With more than 700 dedicated employees worldwide , we push boundaries, set new standards in energy efficiency and conversion, and work towards becoming the market leader in intelligent energy control. Together, we create solutions that Improve Tomorrow .

About the job As a Software Quality Engineer in DEIF’s Test Engineering & Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software‑driven products. Collaborating closely with developers, software quality engineers, and product managers, you will design, develop, and execute a comprehensive regression suite that supports all projects across the product line. This includes building and maintaining automated regression tests while complementing them with structured manual testing where needed.

Your work will focus on validating complete end‑to‑end product features ensuring functionality is tested from a holistic product perspective rather than isolated components. By establishing scalable, maintainable, and repeatable regression coverage, you will help secure consistent product performance and seamless user experience for our customers.

“To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable with technical complexity and have solid experience testing software applications, ideally in embedded or product‑focused environments. Success means helping build a dependable, scalable regression suite – combining automation and targeted manual testing – to ensure full end‑to‑end validation of product features across our releases”, explains Department Manager, Deepa Rai.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Designing, developing, and executing regression test cases that validate full product workflows and cross‑feature interactions.

Implementing automated test scripts to verify end‑to‑end behaviour, system stability, and product‑level scenarios.

Integrating automated regression tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation of core product functionality.

Enhancing regression coverage using risk‑based testing approaches and reusable automation frameworks tailored to product workflows.

Participating in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product‑level E2E quality.

Continuously improving and optimizing the test framework to support scalable, maintainable, and efficient product‑level regression execution.

Working closely with Test Developers to design, refine, and prepare the test infrastructure needed to support new product initiatives and upcoming projects.
