Project Phase: Detailed Design / Construction
Role Overview:
Client-side Lead Mechanical Engineer responsible for technical oversight of Black Utilities during Detailed Design and continuing through construction. The role will act as the client's technical point of contact for mechanical/utility systems and coordinate closely with EPC and construction contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical engineering activities relating to Black Utilities.
Review mechanical design packages, layouts and technical documentation.
Coordinate BU requirements with piping, electrical, HVAC, process and BIM disciplines.
Review equipment selection, layouts and interfaces.
Ensure designs consider constructability, installation, access and maintenance.
Participate in design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.
Interface with EPC/design contractors and resolve technical queries.
Support construction teams with technical issues and design changes.
Maintain technical oversight through the transition from DD into construction.
Key Requirements:
Strong mechanical engineering experience within industrial/process environments.
Specific experience withBlack Utilities.
Strong multidisciplinary engineering and contractor coordination experience.
Experience across both Detailed Design and construction.
Pharmaceutical/API manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong client-side technical coordination skills.
