Job Description

Are you an experienced spacecraft operations engineer who thrives in mission‑critical environments? Do you want to take part in real satellite missions—from launch campaigns to in‑orbit operations—while working in an international and collaborative team? We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support and advance our growing mission portfolio.

Your Role

You’ll work in our Mission & Operations team in Luxembourg, contributing directly to the execution and success of satellite missions across all operational phases. In this role, you will be responsible for executing spacecraft operations across all mission phases, including telecommand preparation, validation, monitoring of spacecraft health, and anomaly handling. You will participate in launch campaigns, simulations, and mission rehearsals while developing and maintaining flight and ground operation procedures. You will work closely with engineers of different disciplines, support continuous improvement of operational tools, automation, and processes, ensuring reliability, performance, and readiness throughout mission lifecycles—from LEOP to routine operations.

Your tasks include:

Perform Flight Dynamics activities supporting LEOP and routine in‑orbit operations

Define and evolve Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for current and future missions

Design, develop, and maintain operational tools, automation, and scripts to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability

Maintain accurate, controlled, and up‑to‑date operational documentation, procedures, and configuration records

Provide on‑call support and participate in shift rotations during critical mission phases (e.g. LEOP, contingencies)

Short- and Long-Term Success

In the first 6–12 months, success means:

Gaining a strong understanding of spacecraft systems, operations tools, and procedures

Contributing confidently to routine mission operations and supporting critical phases

Demonstrating structured problem‑solving and reliable anomaly handling

Longer term, you’ll take ownership of operational procedures and mission areas, contribute to continuous improvements in tools and processes, and play a key role in ensuring mission success and operational excellence.

What You Bring

You’re a structured and detail‑oriented engineer with experience in spacecraft operations and a strong sense of responsibility in mission‑critical environments. You stay calm under pressure and are motivated by solving complex technical challenges.

You likely:

Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Electronics, IT, or a related field

Are confident working with spacecraft operations, including LEOP and in‑orbit activities

Understand how spacecraft systems function and how operations support mission success

Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken

Thrive on executing precise, high‑reliability tasks in dynamic and high‑pressure environments

Who You Are

You’re not just running operations—you help ensure mission success. You take ownership, follow procedures with discipline, and contribute to improving how missions are executed.

You bring:

Helpfulness – you support your team and contribute actively in collaborative environments

Open communication – you’re transparent, proactive, and follow up on tasks

True leadership – you take responsibility for your actions and operate with integrity

Structure & clarity – you work methodically and maintain high standards in procedures and documentation

Human insight – you understand how decisions and actions impact mission performance and team dynamics

Why Join Us?

At Gomspace, we’re on a mission to shape the future of space – one mission at a time. Here, you’ll be part of something bigger than just a project or a product. You’ll help build systems that connect people, enable science, and expand humanity’s reach beyond Earth.

Benefits include:

Be part of a global company making a real impact in the space industry

Get freedom under responsibility from day one – and grow with us

Join a dynamic, full‑service environment where no two days are alike

Work across borders and build a strong international network
