This is your chance to join Weibel in a position as an Electrical Engineer in our R&D Antenna group. We have full inhouse production facilities in Allerød that allows us to explore new solutions without compromising quality.
Due to increasing demand for our products, we are looking for an experienced colleague for a position as an Electrical Engineer.
Debugging, verification and design of hardware including microcontrollers
You will support our production team with module tests, system verification and debugging and implement design solutions for our tracking radars in collaboration with colleagues. The team designs almost all electronic elements of the radar antennas including mixers, LNAs, HPAs, PSUs and digital circuits. We are also key players in our certification work.
Your main responsibility will be support during debugging as well as development tasks:
Debugging at test site, determining root cause, designing solution short- and long-term, updating specifications
Performance test and verification of redesigns on board, module and radar level
Engage with System and Subsystem Architects
Work with RF/analog and Mechanical Engineers to find the best design compromises
Design and verification of hardware with timing requirements.
Other responsibilities and tasks will be:
Support our production and customers with updated documentation
Participate in assembly, test and evaluation of design prototypes
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with our in-house production team
About you
We are looking for a colleague with experience from a similar role. You can get up to speed quickly with the immediate debugging and compliance tasks while learning the design trade-offs relevant to Weibel radars. Hands‑on experience with debugging in a live environment is a significant advantage.
The job requires you to be detailed and structured in your work, while maintaining system overview and working towards a deadline.
Your professional CV includes:
A university degree in electrical engineering, marine engineering or similar engineering degree
Experience with design of digital, analog and/or mixed‑signal electronics from concept over schematics to layout and verification
Experience with CAD/CAE tools e.g. Cadence OrCAD or Allegro
Preferably knowledge of electronic design for harsh environments, temperature and humidity
Knowledge of RF technology is considered an advantage
Development experience with CE compliant devices
