As a Reference Librarian at our library in Roskilde Denmark you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional reference and research services to our patrons.
You will be responsible for assisting patrons with their information needs, providing guidance on how to access and use library resources, and conducting in-depth research on various topics.
Key Responsibilities Provide reference and research assistance to patrons in person over the phone and via email
Guide patrons through the use of library resources including databases online catalogs and reference materials
Conduct thorough research using both print and digital sources to assist patrons with their inquiries
Develop and maintain knowledge of the librarys collection and resources
Assist with collection development by identifying materials that would benefit our patrons
Collaborate with other librarians to plan and execute educational programs related to research skills
Stay up-to-date with current information trends and technologies in the field of librarianship
Requirements Bachelors degree in Library Science or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of reference tools databases and other library resources
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse groups of patrons
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
Salary We offer a competitive salary package starting at $1300 per month. Salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
