A heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes to complete construction or other types of projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating a variety of heavy equipment and be able to follow safety protocols at all times. This role requires physical strength and stamina as well as attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and cranes
Follow safety protocols at all times
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Move and transport materials using heavy machinery
Read and understand construction plans
Communicate with team members to ensure project goals are met
Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or materials
Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification
Minimum of 1 year experience in operating heavy equipment
Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Strong communication skills
Ability to read and understand construction plans
Knowledge of safety protocols for working with heavy machinery
Problem‑solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Flexibility to work on different job sites
Location Kolding, Denmark. Open to candidates from other nationalities.
Salary $1500 per month, negotiable based on experience.
Own visa candidates are preferred but not required. Freshers with the right qualifications will also be considered.
