Mechanical Engineering Internship, Airport Project Engineering – Spring 2027

Job Description Would you like to challenge your mechanical engineering knowledge in global projects and to exchange ideas with competent colleagues across the organisation? And to see the result of your work in the form of complex baggage handling systems bringing together electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and software? Take part in designing complex solutions In Airport Project Engineering, we design state-of-the-art baggage handling systems that help our customers to obtain efficient baggage handling in airports all over the world. As our mechanical engineering intern, you will participate in making the mechanical design, projecting and documentation and assist our mechanical experts with sub-projects as well as day-to-day tasks. Your tasks will include:

Participation in project meetings on the projects that you are assigned to – from design to commissioning.

Participation in design reviews with the team

Insert electrical components according to design rules

Ordering various components from suppliers

Create installation drawings and manuals

Various ad hoc tasks

Gain valuable experience in a specialist environment You will be part of the team on equal terms with the rest of your colleagues and will be provided with a dedicated mentor, ensuring that you will have all the necessary tools and knowledge to get going, and will be supporting you during the entire internship. Moreover you will have the opportunity to spend time with our interns across the organisation and share your knowledge and experiences. Interested? You are currently studying Mechanical Engineering and are available to start your internship in February 2027. You are motivated to test your theoretical knowledge and to work in a project-oriented environment, where you have the opportunity to take as much responsibility as you like. The internship is paid and will last for appr. 5months – the exact period will be agreed with your manager.
