We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Contract Librarian to join our team in Randers As a Contract Librarian you will be responsible for managing our librarys collection providing reference services and promoting library programs and resources to the community
This is a contract position that offers a competitive salary of $1400 per month While prior experience is not required preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in a library setting
Responsibilities Manage the librarys collection by selecting acquiring and organizing materials
Provide reference services to patrons including assistance with research and resource recommendations
Promote library programs and resources through outreach efforts such as social media posts and community events
Collaborate with other librarians and staff to develop new programs and improve existing services
Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and other relevant data
Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology
Requirements Bachelors degree in Library Science or a related field Masters preferred
Biometric passport for international travel valid for at least 6 months
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Familiarity with library systems and databases
Passion for serving the community through access to information
