Job Description

Build hands-on experience testing software for medical devices

At UNEEG Medical, we are on a clear mission: improve epilepsy care and enhance patients' quality of life through objective, real-world EEG data. Our sub-scalp EEG solution enables remote monitoring of brain activity and is already making an impact across Europe and the US. We combine the agility of a small company with the high standards of the medical device industry.

Your role and team:

We are looking for a Student Assistant to support our Software Test team in verifying and validating software for UNEEG’s medical devices. You will report to our Senior Director, Technology and work closely with colleagues in Software Test and Software Development. The role gives you practical experience with software testing in a regulated medical device environment while contributing to software quality and important release activities.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Execute manual and/or automated test cases for software features and updates

Document test results, defects and observations in our test management and defect tracking systems

Support the creation and maintenance of test cases based on requirements and specifications

Assist with regression testing ahead of software releases

Help maintain test documentation and traceability in line with regulatory requirements

Provide administrative and ad hoc support to colleagues across UNEEG as needed

You will thrive in this role if you:

Are currently studying computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or another relevant technical degree

Preferably have more than one year remaining of your studies

Work in a structured and detail-oriented way and take ownership of your tasks

Are curious, self-driven and comfortable working both independently and with others

Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken

Are comfortable using standard office and test tools and keen to learn new systems

Previous industry experience is not required. An interest in software testing, quality assurance or medical device software development is an advantage. Familiarity with test methodologies, defect tracking tools or basic scripting is also beneficial.

Practical information:

We expect you to work approximately 8–15 hours per week, depending on your studies and planned activities at UNEEG. The role is based at our office in Allerød, and we prefer you to be present in the office at least one day per week on average. We offer flexibility around your studies and exams.

What we offer:

Relevant hands-on experience in software testing within a regulated medical device environment

Close collaboration with experienced colleagues who will support your learning

An opportunity to learn about test processes, tools and Quality Management System documentation

A friendly workplace with great energy, social activities and a culture shaped by Togetherness, Integrity and Dedication

At UNEEG, your ideas matter, your work makes a difference, and your colleagues have your back.

Who to contact:

For more details about the job, please contact Senior Director, Technology, Kim Heegaard Hansen, at +45 25 65 75 01.
