Technical Software Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead technical software projects for a leading company in the wind energy industry. You will manage projects across varying setups, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid.This role demands excellence in team building, planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and collaboration with outsourcing partners to deliver impactful software solutions for wind farm operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

5+ years of experience leading software development projects. Proven expertise managing software projects using agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban). Strong foundation in modern software architectures, including edge computing and cloud-based solutions. Project management excellence in planning and risk management. Strong technical software background. Excellent communication, team building, and coordination skills.

ADVANTAGEOUS

Cybersecurity knowledge (IEC 62443, NIS2). Experience from the wind energy business. Knowledge of SCADA systems.Be at the forefront of advancing software architecture and cybersecurity for the renewable energy industry, contributing to a sustainable future while growing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Develop a strategy for site updates together with relevant business units. Plan software updates and patching of wind farms in detail. Collaborate with production teams to ensure proper deployment of SCADA software. Coordinate with solution architects and test architects to ensure quality outcomes. Run a team of internal and external software developers supporting deployment. Develop detailed plans for project timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets. Ensure timely execution of projects while maintaining adherence to budgets and resource constraints. Lead robust risk management practices to mitigate technical and operational challenges. Oversee end-to-end quality, ensuring results meet business goals. Ensure thorough documentation of project outcomes, including all delivered products and technologies.
