Therefore, we are looking for a new Manager to strengthen our software leadership capacity – someone who can lead skilled software engineers, grow a strong team, and help us develop both people and technology and contribute to our overall purpose; securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team

As our new Manager, you will lead and develop a software engineering team in Defense Air. You will work closely with architects, project managers, systems engineers, scrum masters, and other leaders to align priorities, manage capacity, and keep expectations realistic.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

Lead and develop a software engineering team, including employee development, onboarding, and performance follow-up

Create clarity on priorities, expectations, and responsibilities while helping the team grow and adapt

Manage capacity, priorities, and resource allocation in close collaboration with projects and other leaders

Build trusted working relationships across Defense Air and the wider organization

Bring your expertise into play

You should have practical experience with people leadership — either as a manager or from a role with clear responsibility for people, priorities, and collaboration.

Experience leading people, teams, or technical work

Understanding of software engineering and what motivates skilled engineers

A genuine interest in developing people and teams

Strong collaboration skills, good judgement, and the ability to create clarity when many things are moving at once

A background as a software engineer is an advantage, but not a requirement.
