On behalf of a client in the energy industry, we are looking for a Senior Database Migration Engineer to support the migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL and the conversion of ODI data workflows to Azure Data Factory.
Main Responsibilities
Migrate Oracle databases to PostgreSQL, including schemas, data structures and connections
Refactor Oracle packages, stored procedures, functions and triggers into PostgreSQL
Convert ODI workflows to Azure Data Factory pipelines
Automate schema conversion, data validation and repetitive migration tasks using Python, C# or similar
Optimise PostgreSQL performance and support testing, cutover and troubleshooting
Key Requirements
Proven hands-on experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL database migrations
Advanced Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL skills
Experience migrating ODI workflows to Azure Data Factory
Experience with migration tools such as ora2pg or equivalent, including large-scale data migrations
Experience with post-migration data validation and PostgreSQL performance optimisation
Nice to Have
Experience with TB-scale database migrations and minimal/zero-downtime migration strategies
Apache Airflow experience
Experience with Azure-based PostgreSQL deployments
Power BI development experience

Assignment duration: 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027
Location: Greater Copenhagen
Work setup: Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week onsite
