We are seeking a passionate Associate Director to join the Global Medical Information team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in establishing and managing medical information call center operations in Copenhagen and generating standard and customized Medical Information content to fulfill unsolicited Medical Information requests from both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and non-HCPs for Ascendis products.

You will be joining the Global Medical Information team consisting of 3 colleagues, and report directly to the Director of Global Medical Information, who is based in Palo Alto, U.S. You will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Serves as the subject matter expert for Medical Information for assigned therapeutic areas and/or products

Drive Ascendis' EU Medical Information Call Center expansion by establishing, launching and overseeing operations; training of Call Center staff on Medical Information content and procedures

Regularly monitors the quality and accuracy of responses provided by the Call Center and identifies necessary corrective actions or training required to ensure compliance with regional and local regulations as well as internally relevant SOPs; Provides support to the wider Ascendis business with the handling of complex inquiries escalated by the Call Center and field-based personnel

Continuous monitoring of inquiry trends to identify unmet content needs and ensure appropriate content strategy and communication to the wider Ascendis organization

Responsible for the localization, update/maintenance, and delivery of Medical Information content for assigned therapeutic areas and/or products, ensuring materials are aligned with the needs of the regions/countries and consistent with global Medical Affairs content

Supports key scientific conventions/congresses through the creation of medical booth assets, participation in meeting's preparation or post-congress involvement with cross-functional teams, staffing of Medical Affairs booths during congresses, and generation of booth metrics reports

Leads mitigation tactics related to the day-to-day operations, proposes recommendations and drives implementation of required changes, new processes, etc.; Provides insights from a Medical Information perspective on the development and revision of SOPs, implementation guidelines (IGs), and Work Instructions (WIs), as necessary; ensures audit readiness at all times to GxP standards

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree - preferably a master's degree or Ph.D. from a Health education field - and +5 years of experience in Medical Information, Medical Affairs, or comparable medical information experience.

Furthermore, you have :

Advanced skills at critically evaluating literature and at writing/summarizing clinical and scientific data

Proficiency with computer and software applications (i.e., Microsoft office), experience with MI systems used for information requests and content management, and skilled at utilizing medical literature and drug information databases

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be very independent, flexible, and self-motivated as you will be based in Copenhagen while your manager and closest team members are working in U.S. and Germany.

Travel : 25 - 30 days per year.
