Job Description

Night & Security Manager About Roberta’s Society Roberta’s Society is one of Denmark’s largest hybrid hotels and hostels, welcoming thousands of travellers every month. As a 24-hour operation, 365 days a year, our overnight team plays a vital role in the success of the business. While much of the city sleeps, our hotel remains fully operational, welcoming late arrivals, supporting guests, maintaining security and preparing the building for a new day.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys making decisions independently and takes pride in creating a calm, safe and professional environment. If you’re someone who naturally takes ownership and enjoys being the person everyone relies on when challenges arise, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role- Night & Security Manager You will be the senior operational person in the building throughout the night, taking full responsibility for leading the overnight operation from start to finish. The role is full time 37 hours a week with working hours 23:00–07:00, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

This is a newly created management position, introduced as Roberta’s Society continues to mature and evolve following its opening in June2025. As our business has grown, so has the need for dedicated overnight operational leadership, ensuring our guests, colleagues and property are supported to the highest standard 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

During many shifts you will be working independently, taking full responsibility for the property and acting as the primary point of contact for any operational, security or guest-related issues that arise overnight. You will also provide leadership and support to the wider night team, ensuring colleagues have the guidance and assistance they need throughout the shift.

Each evening, you will receive a full operational handover from the late shift and take ownership of the hotel until the morning team arrives. Your ability to organise the operation, resolve issues and prepare every department for the day ahead will be critical to the success of the business. Quite simply, the quality of your work overnight will directly influence how successfully the entire hotel operates the following day.

Reporting directly to the Hostel & Hotel Manager, you will form part of Roberta’s Society’s operational second level management team and play a key role in shaping and leading our overnight operation.

Department Leadership Unlike a traditional night receptionist role, you’ll take ownership of the wider night operation.

Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of the night team.

Managing sickness and emergency shift cover.

Stepping in to cover shifts where operationally required.

Acting as the on-call escalation point for operational or security issues outside your scheduled shifts.

Working closely with the Hostel & Hotel Manager to continuously improve procedures, standards and performance across the department.

As one of the operational leaders within the business, flexibility is essential. In the event of unexpected sickness or critical incidents outside your scheduled working hours, you will be expected to assist in finding solutions and, where necessary, provide shift cover. Any additional hours worked will be compensated in accordance with company policy.

What We Offer This is far more than a traditional night shift role. It is an opportunity to lead one of the most important operational departments within one of Denmark’s most exciting hospitality businesses. You’ll enjoy genuine autonomy, significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape how our overnight operation develops in the years ahead. You will be trusted to make decisions, lead people and ensure our guests, colleagues and property are safe, secure and fully prepared for each new day.

In return, we offer a strong and competitive salary and benefits package, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to become a key member of our local management team.
