Student Assistent - Finance

NKT Photonics, a Hamamatsu Company, is a leading manufacturer of supercontinuum lasers and photonic crystal fibers, serving customers in medical research, quantum computing, and space exploration.

Responsibilities Transform numbers into insights by working intensively within Power BI, Snowflake and Alteryx.

Engage as a key person, transforming business requirements from finance management and other stakeholders into dynamic dashboards covering financial numbers and key information.

Collaborate with managers, end users and IT to develop and maintain dashboards.

Gather and prioritize requirements and ensure data availability in the existing data model.

Develop and maintain dashboards using visualizations and calculations in Power BI, Snowflake, and Alteryx.

Stay up-to‑date with new Power BI technology and techniques for storytelling.

Collaborate with the IT team on data‑related projects and improve data transformation processes.

Act as the primary point of contact for support and improvement requests within the team.

Qualifications Ability to define and implement KPI’s within the finance area using Power BI.

Experience with Power BI specifically.

Experience with Snowflake and optionally Alteryx.

Experience with D365 is an advantage.

Strong interpersonal and energetic; efficient problem‑solving skills.

Strong experience in storytelling – ability to present complex stories understandably.

Highly accountable with a collaborative and proactive work style.

Support business finance with updating presentations and spreadsheets for executive reporting.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills linked to Power BI.

Curious mindset to explore data for business improvements and insights.

Ability to transform requirements into user‑friendly Power BI solutions.

Task management skills and ability to estimate effort from requirement to solution.

Experience from a finance department or working with financial datasets (e.g., consultancy or auditing) is an advantage.

Fluency in English.
