The Role

As a Senior Associate in Biological Data Science at BioLib, you'll work at the intersection of biological data science, software and client advisory. You will help pharmaceutical researchers solve important scientific problems by translating their questions into robust analyses and practical tools.

From the first conversation to final delivery, you'll own project workstreams, collaborate with BioLib's scientists and engineers and make modern biological data science accessible to teams with different needs and technical backgrounds.

What You'll Do

Lead client projects from scoping to delivery, understanding researchers' specific needs and defining the right scientific questions.

Turn complex biological questions and data into clear insights and recommendations that help researchers make informed decisions.

Develop tailored analyses, tools and workflows using Python, R and the BioLib platform.

Evaluate emerging methods and technologies to identify the best approaches for different research challenges.

Work with BioLib's scientists and engineers to turn recurring client needs into new solutions and strengthen our consulting services.

Who You Are

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics or a related field.

At least 2 years of consulting experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of projects from problem definition through to delivery.

Comfortable working with data and using Python and/or R to build analytical workflows.

Able to communicate complex technical or scientific topics clearly and collaborate effectively with customers and across teams.

Experience with front-end development, data visualization, cloud-based workflows or production-quality data science applications is a considerable plus.
