MUSE Offshore Wind Monitoring Platform Location: Hørsholm (DK), Aarhus (DK) or Gdynia (PL)

Travel: Up to 30 days per year

MUSE is DHI's integrated bird and bat monitoring platform designed for offshore wind farms. Operating in some of the most demanding environments in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, MUSE combines radar, cameras, AI-powered tracking, and industrial infrastructure to support scientific studies and informed operational decisions.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer, Operations & Maintenance who will ensure our deployed MUSE systems run reliably, securely, and continuously at customer sites. You will play a key role in maintaining mission-critical systems that collect environmental data used to support offshore wind development and wildlife protection.

Your Role As an Platform Engineer, Operations & Maintenance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of deployed MUSE platforms. You will work across infrastructure, networking, virtualization, containerized services, observability tools, security, backups, and incident response to ensure high system availability and data integrity. This role combines operational responsibility with opportunities to improve the platform through automation, tooling, and standardized operational practices.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Reliability Monitor and maintain deployed MUSE platforms across customer sites.

Ensure continuous platform availability, performance, and security.

Investigate and resolve incidents involving infrastructure, networking, connectivity, virtualization, and applications.

Support health monitoring, alert management, and performance optimization.

Monitoring & Incident Response Manage observability platforms and alerting systems.

Detect, analyze, and respond to operational issues before they affect customers.

Continuously improve monitoring dashboards and alert quality.

Backup, Recovery & Security Maintain and test backup and recovery procedures.

Support disaster recovery and failover exercises.

Maintain secure access controls, MFA, VPN connectivity, and system hardening practices.

Support compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices.

Automation & Continuous Improvement Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Improve operational documentation, runbooks, maintenance procedures, and recovery playbooks.

Contribute to platform improvements and operational standards.

Project Support Support installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and site maintenance when needed.

Occasionally travel to customer locations to support critical operational activities.

What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience Experience administering Linux systems in production environments.

Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and containerized services.

Comfortable working with networking technologies, VPNs, firewalls, and remote access solutions.

Experience with monitoring, observability, or operational support of critical systems.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Comfortable working close to hardware and field-installed systems.

Ability to automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting.

Nice to Have Experience with Proxmox, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.

Familiarity with industrial or OT environments.

Knowledge of SCADA integrations and OPC-UA.

Windows Server administration experience.

Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments.

Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIS2, or industrial cybersecurity concepts.

Experience supporting air-gapped or highly controlled systems.
