Database Administrator

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Roskilde. As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company’s databases. Your main duties will include ensuring data availability, implementing backup and recovery plans, as well as optimizing database performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the overall health of databases

Ensure data is backed up regularly and securely

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data

Optimize database performance through regular maintenance and tuning

Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions

Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration with other systems

Provide technical support to end users on database-related issues

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator

Strong knowledge of database management systems: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server

Experience with database design, optimization, backup, and recovery

Familiarity with security protocols and best practices

Excellent problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good communication skills

Preferred Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional)

Knowledge of cloud‑based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)

We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this full‑time position.
