Would you like to help ensure that millions of passengers get a better experience when traveling through some of the world’s busiest airports? Are you ready to join a team with smart colleagues to assist, spar with and learn from, in a growing company with high ambitions of making a difference? Then we would like to meet you!

Who we are We are Copenhagen Optimization and we intend to push modern software techniques and technologies into the stale world of enterprise airport software. Our Better Airport product suite is dedicated to revolutionizing the way data-analysis and optimization is used to help airports utilize their current and future operational capacity.

Our team consists of experienced developers and business consultants and you will be working closely together with both, in an agile and fast-moving environment in Copenhagen.

In Copenhagen Optimization, we aim to passionately innovate and optimize, so that together we enable tangible, lasting improvements for people globally.

Who you are You are passionate about computers and software engineering and how it all works together. As such, you already code on your own hobby projects and want to learn how to build and run products with global impact together with a team.

You might be in the middle of getting a degree from a relevant university with a high level of dedication and eagerness to apply your skills. Maybe you have previous experience working in a software development team or want to be part of one. You are not intimidated by the idea of learning to navigate and work with full-stack tech, NoSQL and SQL and switch between YAML files, bash scripts, functional and object-oriented programming.

Natural curiosity is one of your traits and being a good listener is important to you. You can work independently and on well-known tasks, though believe that complex problems get the best solutions from collaboration. In order to learn and grow, you know when to ask for input and help.

Your level of communication is high, and your written and verbal skills in English are very strong. Most of the team speak Danish too, but it is not required.

Most importantly, you are keenly interested in learning and being a productive part of a team.

You will be working 1–2 days a week on tasks that will include:

Working in a software product team on customer facing features

Joining the existing team of extraordinarily talented students to maintain our out of office support setup

Helping out automating and improving the current software development

General customer support and collecting data for further investigation on reported issues

Improving current test automation

Integrating customer data flows

What we can offer Strong vision paired with big ambitions in a young company with an established global reach

Being part of a team delivering value from day one

Variety of tasks including product features, customer integrations, maintenance work and automating stuff

Flexibility in working hours during the week, and possibility of moving working periods during exam periods and vacation times

Pair programming and training to learn and grow as a talented software engineer

Daily work with technologies from React, C# .NET to Docker and Kubernetes

Augmented coding using AI assistants like ChatGPT, Codex and OpenCode

Modern agile leadership style with a strong focus on high motivation and finding fulfillment through technical mastery and meaningful work — including a flat hierarchy and lots of responsibility

A workplace full of energy, team spirit and a great attitude

A competitive compensation package

Part of the job will require some on-call support availability outside office and school hours. The specific time periods will be coordinated with the team to fit all members’ personal schedules.

The position is based in Copenhagen and 10–20h per week depending on your preferences .
