Senior Digital Commerce Strategist (Dutch or Danish speaking)

Overview Senior Digital Commerce Strategist role at DEPT® in Copenhagen with hybrid options (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen). This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team, combining future-ready technical solutions with design to deliver engaging digital experiences for clients such as Gant, Inter Milan, bol.com and Just Eat Takeaway.

Job purpose: We’re looking for someone who can help clients unlock their digital potential and drive long-term success through well-crafted, multi-year strategies. You will bring together cross-functional expertise to define an optimal commerce strategy tailored to each client’s unique needs, shape the north star vision for commerce across industries, and translate high-level business goals into actionable roadmaps, backlogs, and strategic briefs.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development of digital commerce strategies that help global brands grow, transform, and stay ahead

Shape strategic direction through user research, insight synthesis, and application of frameworks

Design and facilitate workshops that energize teams and unlock clarity for clients

Own the strategic narrative, guiding clients, creatives and developers from challenge to solution

Champion user needs while keeping business impact in view

Collaborate across disciplines to ensure strategy is embedded in the work we make

Build strategic partnerships with clients and help win new work

What We Are Looking For Agency or consultancy experience with readiness to lead from the middle

Ability to own client relationships and guide project teams

Ability to simplify the complex and communicate thinking with confidence

Strong grasp of commerce, including owned platforms, brand experiences, distributed commerce channels and emerging tech

Ability to connect research to opportunity and opportunity to outcome

Collaborative, adaptable, and energic approach to challenges

Deep understanding of commonly used tools (e.g., Shopify, Insider, Optimizely, SFCC, Commerce tools)

Understanding of trending topics (e.g., Agentic Commerce, social commerce, marketplaces)

Business case creation
