Job Description

Are you an experienced finance professional with strong controlling capabilities and the ambition to work broadly across entities, processes, and projects? Are you motivated by creating structure, insight, and progress in an international company undergoing significant development?

If so, this could be your next career move.

At GTT Marine, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to take on a key role in our finance function. The position is anchored in Financial Controlling, but it has a broad scope and will involve close collaboration with Accounting, Business Finance, and other parts of the organization. You will play an important role in controlling activities across several group entities while also taking the lead on a range of finance projects and development initiatives.

The role has become broader and more complex as the finance function has expanded following Danelec's integration into the GTT Group. As a result, more entities and more financial processes now need to be supported, and we are looking for a profile that can ensure high quality in day-to-day controlling while also driving larger projects through to completion.

The role is a full-time job, and you will be reporting to the Director of Global Finance.

About the role As Senior Financial Controller, you will take on a broad role combining operational responsibilities with development-oriented tasks. You will work with controlling across several entities while contributing to stronger processes, governance, and quality within finance. The role has a strong focus on financial controlling, process optimization, and project execution, and you will work closely with colleagues across the finance organization to ensure structure, transparency, and high quality in key financial processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Perform controlling activities across several entities within the group and ensure high quality in financial follow-up and governance

Prepare analyses, assessments, and decision-making material that strengthens financial insight and supports business decisions

Participate in the month-end close process, share responsibility for driving the process, and contribute to optimizing the related finance processes to strengthen efficiency, quality, and controls

Participate in and lead finance projects, including implementation and integration initiatives in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across entities

Contribute to annual report processes and support tax-related activities, including joint taxation, tax returns, and other compliance matters

Support transfer pricing-related activities and other cross-functional finance initiatives

Support audit processes, documentation, and the development of a strong control environment

Handle ad hoc tasks and take ownership where the business and finance function need support

Who are you? We imagine that you have a strong finance background and experience from a similar role where you have worked with controlling, accounting, and financial processes in a complex organization. You thrive at the intersection of operations, analysis, and development, and you are motivated by creating structure, quality, and momentum.

You have several years of experience in a role such as Financial Controller, Senior Financial Controller, or a similar position

You have strong analytical skills and a solid ability to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement

You work in a structured, independent, and proactive manner and are able to drive tasks and projects forward

You are comfortable collaborating broadly across the organization and can communicate complex matters clearly and professionally

You have experience with or an interest in ERP and implementation projects, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

You have a solid understanding of accounting, compliance, and ideally tax matters in an international context

You are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken

Your educational background may include cand.merc.aud., HD(R), an audit background, or a similar qualification

What we offer At GTT Marine, you will become part of an ambitious and international company in development, as well as a highly skilled finance organization with close business interaction. You will take on a central role with broad exposure, significant responsibility, and strong opportunities for both professional and personal development.

We offer a flexible working environment with the possibility of working from home, an attractive compensation package including pension, health insurance, canteen scheme, and additional holiday days, as well as a workplace characterized by collaboration, accountability, and an informal tone.
