Project Engineer – Automation & Automated Logistics
Do you have experience with automation and enjoy coordinating technical activities where things actually happen – on site?
On behalf of one of our clients, Job-Link is looking for an experienced Project Engineer for a long-term assignment in Western Zealand, Denmark .
You will join a specialised automation team supporting automation across several large-scale pharmaceutical projects. The current focus is on projects in the commissioning phase, where you will play an important role in coordinating site activities, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.
Automation that keeps production moving
The solutions you will work with cover automated movement and handling of materials throughout pharmaceutical production.
This may include:
AGVs and mobile robots transporting materials between production areas
Automated forklift and logistics solutions
Automated washing and cleaning equipment
Robotics and other automated material-handling systems
Integration of automated equipment with surrounding production and control systems
Your role is not primarily about programming. Instead, you will be the technical link between the project, suppliers and activities on site , making sure installation, testing and commissioning move forward as planned.
Your role
You will be responsible for coordinating automation-related activities on site and working closely with equipment suppliers, project teams and other engineering disciplines.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating installation, commissioning and testing activities on site
Managing and following up with equipment suppliers and subcontractors
Coordinating testing of automated equipment, including FAT and SAT
Supporting commissioning, qualification and final handover
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues together with suppliers and relevant specialists
Coordinating across multiple stakeholders within the automation team and across the site organisation
Supporting technical documentation and operator training
Supporting integration with systems such as SAP EWM, PAS-X, fleet management systems, DCS and PLC solutions
Your background
You have an engineering degree or relevant technical background within automation, electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience .
We are looking for someone with:
Experience with automation and automated equipment
Hands-on experience from a production or project site
Experience coordinating suppliers, subcontractors or technical activities
Experience with installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting
Experience from pharmaceutical production and working in a GMP-regulated environment
A good understanding of automation, electrical and mechanical systems
Fluent written and spoken English
You do not need to be a programmer or PLC specialist.
Danish is not a requirement .

With several suppliers, engineering disciplines and project stakeholders involved, you need to be structured, proactive and good at keeping activities moving forward.
You enjoy being on site, close to the equipment and the people working with it, and you combine technical understanding with strong coordination and communication skills.
Duration: Until the end of April 2027
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Work setup: Primarily on-site, five days a week
