Sous Chef

We are in search of a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Roskilde. As the Sous Chef you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and developing new dishes

Supervise and train kitchen staff ensuring high levels of productivity and quality

Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and presentation standards

Monitor inventory levels, order supplies and control food costs

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to health and safety standards

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction

Continuously strive for excellence by staying updated on industry trends, techniques and ingredients

Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; Danish proficiency is a plus

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Salary 1300$ per month negotiable based on experience
