The Role As a Machine Learning Scientist at BioLib, you'll work at the intersection of machine learning and biology. You'll develop, train and deploy models on biological data - from protein sequences and structures to large-scale omics datasets - and shape how state-of-the-art machine learning methods are made accessible to scientists and pharma companies worldwide.

Your work will directly support novel discoveries in biology and medicine.

What You'll Do Develop, train and evaluate machine learning models on biological data such as protein sequences, structures and omics datasets.

Deploy models as scalable applications on the BioLib platform, making them accessible to scientists worldwide.

Apply and adapt state-of-the-art methods, including protein language models and generative AI.

Collaborate directly with researchers and pharma partners to translate scientific questions into robust machine learning solutions.

Help shape the scientific direction of the platform and bring the newest methods in the field to our users.

Who You Are You hold a degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a biology-related field.

You have hands-on experience building and training machine learning models, ideally with frameworks like PyTorch.

You're comfortable writing production-quality code in Python and enjoy building tools that others rely on.

You have experience working with biological data and a solid understanding of the underlying biology.

You have published papers or open source projects that demonstrate your work.

You enjoy working closely with scientists and translating their needs into practical, reliable solutions.
