We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Faroe-Islands. As a member of our IT department you will be responsible for maintaining our network and computer systems ensuring their smooth operation and security.
Responsibilities Install and configure network equipment such as routers switches and firewalls
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Manage user accounts and permissions on the network
Install maintain and update software on servers and workstations
Perform regular data backups to ensure data integrity
Implement security protocols to protect the network from cyber threats
Provide technical support to employees regarding network and system issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT infrastructure
Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of networking protocols TCPIP DNS DHCP
Experience with Cisco networking equipment preferred
Knowledge of system administration WindowsLinux
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies AWSAzure
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$ per month.
Accommodation will be provided for candidates who require it.
Preference will be given to candidates with their own visa or who are eligible for a work visa in Faroe-Islands.
